Babitz, JD\n \nOur program presented by Marty Babitz will introduce us to the Spousal Lifetime Access Trust and the purpose for establishing one for our clients. His program will cover how a SLAT works, the benefits and income tax considerations as well as the types of assets to fund the trust and GST application.  The trustee selection, asset protection and choice of jurisdiction will also be discussed.    \n \n Marty is vice president and a family wealth strategist for BNY Mellon Wealth Management. He advises clients on all aspects of family wealth transfer, business succession, philanthropy, and income tax, estate tax, gift tax and generation-skipping tax mitigation strategies. Previously, he was a senior vice president and national director of estate planning for Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth.  He graduated, summa cum laude, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of the Law School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has published numerous articles on estate planning and tax subjects in such national periodicals as Estate Planning and Journal of Practical Estate Planning, and local publications, such as the New Jersey Law Journal and Philadelphia Estate Planning Council Newsletter and he speaks extensively on estate planning, business succession planning and related topics before individuals, attorneys, accountants and business groups.\n \n \n \n \n \n
